Blacksad is a Neo-Noir graphic novel mystery series with anthropomorphic animals set in 1950's America. Instead of having just one species of animal representing a single race or a nationality, they more of the persons emotions and personality. John Blacksad is your typical hard boiled private investigator. A history major but was expelled in short one year because of hostile racial tensions. He is also a WWII veteran with a renown skills as a marksman. Blacksad is friends with the city's police commissioner Smirnov allowing him to get info and near to powerful people. Blacksad's personality ranges from witty friendless to hard nose roughness. Whenever he takes a case, he is completely through until the end. However, he is not crooked to meant harm towards innocents for the corrupt to get rich off of. more later
